DEMOCRATIZING ACCESS TO PEDIATRIC GENOMICS DATA
CAVATICA is a storage, sharing, and analysis platform designed to handle large volumes of pediatric tumor genomics data. It is produced in collaboration with Seven Bridges and based on the Seven Bridges Platform for cloud storage and bioinformatics analysis.
Seamless Sharing with Collaborators Near and Far
CAVATICA provides an easy and secure environment for teams to collaborate both locally and globally across multiple institutions. Within its cloud environment, CAVATICA allows collaborators around the world to work together on the same project without having to download datasets. CAVATICA is FedRAMP and FISMA compliant, meeting NIH standards for data security, storage, and distribution. There is no data sharing requirement to use CAVATICA, though collaboration is always encouraged.
Access Data from Major Pediatric Studies
CAVATICA seamlessly integrates with the Kids First Portal and the INCLUDE Data Hub, generating private workspaces with genomic data from selected cohorts in seconds. Users can also quickly identify and load pediatric genomics data from Kids First, INCLUDE DCC, CBTN, TARGET, or TCGA into their workspace using the built-in CAVATICA Data Browser. Finally, researchers can also bring their own files into CAVATICA for comparisons to petabytes of existing genomic data, increasing their sample size and maximizing their research impact.
Analyze Genomics Data in the Cloud
Access hundreds of commonly used bioinformatics tools pre-installed on CAVATICA in the Public Apps Gallery or bring your own workflows into the cloud. Reproducibility and portability in data analysis is vital in order to make scientific research as accurate, efficient, and cost-effective as possible. Seven Bridges and CAVATICA promote FAIR (Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, Reusability) guidelines by utilizing Docker-based, reproducible, and portable tools written in The Common Workflow Language (CWL).
